Inspired by Guantian’s local specialty, the water chestnut, the design abstractly interprets its four-cornered shell to create a distinctive visual symbol. The natural ridges of the chestnut represent the strength of the land and the organic tension of growth, while the geometric form of the cubic pastry symbolizes the order and precision of human craftsmanship. Together, they form a dialogue between nature and design, allowing this traditional ingredient to be reimagined with a contemporary sensibility that reflects both local agricultural value and sustainable aesthetics.
